Kym Marsh is planning to learn another a skill after being inspired by her ‘Coronation Street’ co-star Samia Longchambon.
The 42-year-old actress – who plays Michelle Connor on the ITV soap – has been impressed with her fellow cobbles resident’s new career direction to become a qualified reflexologist, so much so she is looking forward to being one of the 36-year-old star’s (Maria Connor) guinea pigs.
She said: "Samia has recently trained in reflexology and has said she’d love to try it out on some of the ‘Corrie’ stars, which I’m definitely up for.
"I’m really impressed that she’s retrained in something so different to acting; it’s always good to add another string to your bow.
"I’d love to learn another skill, but right now I have no idea what I’d want to do."
Kym has a bit of spare time to think about her new career direction after admitting her last two weeks on the cobbles have been "quiet".
She said: "I’ve had another quiet week at work with only a few scenes to film, so I’ve been using my time to catch up on some life admin and spend time with the kids."
Kym is looking forward to watching Samia’s husband, ‘Dancing on Ice’ pro skater Sylvain Longchambon, in action on the programme in the new year, because he is partnered up with her ‘Corrie’ co-star Jane Danson (Leanne Battersby).
Writing in her OK! magazine column, she added: "The lovely Jane Danson has been partnered with Sylvain Longchambon for the new series of ‘Dancing on Ice’, and I’m very happy about it.
"Understandably, Jane has been quite nervous but she’s in safe hands with Sylvain and I know she’s made up that he’s her partner.
"She knows Sylvain through his wife Samia, our co-star on ‘Corrie’, and I know they get on well so it’ll be great to see them on the ice."
