Kym Marsh has been struck down with a "horrid" stomach bug.
The ‘Coronation Street’ actress – who plays Michelle Connor on the ITV soap – admits she "hates winter" time because so there are always so many illnesses going around.
Kym – who has daughter Polly, seven, with ex Jamie Lomas – wrote on Twitter: "Why is it when winter comes so do a load of bugs! I’ve had a horrid tummy thing going on today and so does polly! I hate winter (sic)"
Despite claiming to not be a fan of winter, the singer-turned-actress is excited about consuming on plenty of chocolate over the festive period, so much so she has been hitting the gym hard in preparation for some Christmas chowing down.
She recently said: "I’ve also been back in the gym doing some personal training sessions after a bit of a break from exercising.
"I know most people wait until the new year before going on a health kick, but, the way I see it, if I exercise now, I can eat more chocolate over Christmas."
What’s more, the 42-year-old star found out two weeks ago she is to become a granny for the first time after revealing her daughter Emilie, 21, is expecting her first child.
As a result, Kym is trying to "delay the ageing process" without having to turn to Botox.
She said: "Emilie and I have both been really overwhelmed with all the lovely messages congratulating us on her pregnancy.
"And now that I’m going to be a grandmother, I’m trying to delay the ageing process without having to turn to Botox!
"I’ve booked myself in for a course of non-invasive firming and smoothing face treatments at a clinic in Manchester.
"They’re supposed to knock years off you, so I’ll let you know how I get on."
