Kylie Minogue uses self-help books

Kylie Minogue credits a self-help book with her recent career resurgence.

The ‘I Should Be So Lucky’ hitmaker has gone through some big changes in her life both personally and professionally – including her split from Andres Velencoso to her upcoming album ‘Kiss Me Once’ – and she says it was an "epiphany" when she signed with Jay Z’s record label Roc Nation.

She told The Sun on Sunday: "Signing to Roc Nation was an epiphany not to go with them, but it makes a change.

"I met with [the label’s co-founder] Jay Brown and I happened to be reading a book called ‘Blink: The Power of Thinking Without Thinking’ at the time, which helped me decided in the first 60 seconds that I met him, ‘You’re the one, let’s do it.’ "

While her career might have been given a boost, the 45-year-old singer has insisted her famous bottom is going "south" with age.

She recently said: "In your 40s things tend to go south. I don’t think I can live up to expectations.

"I see myself in the mirror every morning and it’s not the same as what everyone else sees. It’s a less polished version."
