Kylie Minogue to rejoin The Voice

Kylie Minogue is set to rejoin ‘The Voice’ as a mentor.
The 49-year-old singer had a seat on the coaching panel in 2014 alongside will.i.am, Sir Tom Jones, and Ricky Wilson, but after four years away from the singing competition – which was first broadcast on BBC One but moved to ITV last year – she is set to return in a new role.
Rather than judge the contestants, Kylie will join the show after the current blind auditions to assist one of the coaches – now comprised of Will, Tom, Olly Murs, and Jennifer Hudson – in training their hopeful team of wannabe stars.
A source told The Sun newspaper: "Kylie will spend a day working with one of the coaches to mentor their contestants during the knockout stage of the competition.
"Telly bosses are in talks with a number of other big names who they think will be able to provide useful feedback for the singers, too."
And whilst Kylie will getting back into the groove with her return to the show, new coach Olly Murs is still getting to grips with his role, as he recently admitted to having practiced at home by watching reruns of last year’s performances.
He said: "You know, I practised at home. I put on last year’s show and sat with my back to it and spun around when I liked someone."
The 33-year-old singer admitted he was "nervous" about returning to live TV following his 2015 stint as co-host of ‘The X Factor’, where he infamously announced who was leaving the show before it went to deadlock, but wouldn’t have taken the job if he didn’t think he could handle it.
He said: "I’m not going to say it didn’t cross my mind, because obviously that was a big moment in my career and I made a silly mistake – we all make mistakes at work.
"But this is completely different. I mean, of course I was nervous, I haven’t done live TV since, but I wouldn’t have taken this job if I didn’t think it was right.
"This is my chance to show people my opinions and give them constructive criticism, and not just be that cheeky chappy nice guy."
