Kylie Minogue and Guy Pearce are set to reunite 30 years after they last worked together for a new comedy film.
The ‘Spinning Around’ hitmaker and the ‘Iron Man 3’ star – who appeared in the long-running soap ‘Neighbours’ together nearly three decades ago – have both jumped on board Stephan Elliott’s forthcoming project ‘Flammable Children’.
The talented duo – who were both raised Down Under – will be taken back to suburban Australia in October to begin shooting the comic feature film set in the country in 1975.
Elliott – who wrote and directed ‘The Adventures Of Priscilla, Queen Of The Desert’ – has revealed the flick, which is loosely based on his parents, is about six families who were living in a classic Australian beach community 41 years ago.
He told the Daily Mail newspaper: "We were the generation that used to watch our parents get completely drunk on the newly invented cask wine. But they didn’t know the ropes!"
Radha Mitchell is also set to join the picture but the director has revealed there are still several roles up for grabs.
Meanwhile, the forthcoming flick will no doubt bring back some fond memories for Kylie, 47, and Guy, 48, as they haven’t worked together since they played Charlene Robinson and Mike Young in the Australian soap in 1988.
