Kylie Jenner: I’m a feminist

Kylie Jenner considers herself to be a feminist.
The ‘Keeping Up With The Kardashians’ star insists she doesn’t need to depend on any man or her family and has been making her own money for years.
She explained: "I do consider myself a feminist. I’m a young woman, for one thing, and I don’t depend on a man or anybody else. I make my own money and start my own businesses, and I feel like I’m an inspiration for a lot of young girls who want to stand on their own.
"I haven’t had a dollar of my mum’s money for five years. Ever since I started earning my own money, I’ve paid for everything: all my cars, houses, clothes, everything. I like to know exactly what’s going on and I’m actually quite careful with what I spend. We all are as a family."
The 18-year-old television personality – who has her own fashion and cosmetics lines – is keen to focus more on her personal projects going into the future.
Speaking to the new issue of Glamour magazine about the family’s E! reality show, she added: "I only show people what I want them to see [on the show]. And in time, I think I’ll just slowly start moving behind the scenes. The show has to end eventually, and I’m not going to leave until we’re done with it, but by 20 I want to have the whole of my cosmetics line out because that’s my primary focus. I definitely won’t want to be doing anything else that would make me more public."
Meanwhile, Kylie – who is dating Tyga, 26 – previously admitted she feels as though she has grown more "introverted" as she’s become more famous.
She explained: "I’m not a shy person and when I was younger I was so crazy. Every time my mum would have people over, I’d make everyone come in and watch me do my dance moves.
"It was so wild. And I feel like growing up in the spotlight, it just made me a more introverted person. Now I can’t walk in a room and talk to people."
