Kyle Christie quits Geordie Shore

Kyle Christie has quit ‘Geordie Shore’.

The 22-year-old hunk has been noticeably absent from nights out with the rest of the cast during filming for the next series of the MTV reality show and has now revealed he’s decided to quit after his grandad was diagnosed with terminal cancer.

He said: "I had to put my family first.

"He’s got stomach, pancreatic and bone cancer all in one. It’s been hard because he’s my best friend.

"If I’d gone back for the next series it wouldn’t have been fair on production."

Kyle broke up with his co-star girlfriend Holly Hagan earlier in the current 11th series and will be seen walking out on the show in tonight’s (01.12.15) episode following yet another heated row.

However, he’s admitted the 23-year-old beauty has been there for him since learning about his grandfather’s illness.

Kyle told the Daily Star newspaper: "When she heard about my grandad she got in touch and said, ‘Can I be there for you?’ She’s been supportive."

Kyle joined the cast of ‘Geordie Shore’ alongside Aaron Chalmers in the eighth series.
