Kygo reveals his dream collaboration

Kygo wants to work with Ed Sheeran, Chris Martin and The Weeknd.
The ‘Firestone’ hitmaker – who has previously worked with an array of artists, including Tom Odell and Labrinth – has expressed his desire to work with the popular trio at some stage in the near future.
Speaking exclusively to BANG Showbiz – ahead of his performance at Wireless Festival in July – Kygo said: "I’d like to work with Ed Sheeran, Chris Martin and The Weeknd.
"I’ve remixed all of them in some capacity but would love to work on some original material as well."
A number of the 24-year-old DJ’s past collaborations have happened thanks to chance meetings at festivals and events.
Talking about how the song ‘Happy Birthday’ – which Kygo made with John Legend – came about, he explained: "All my collaborations happen in different ways. Sometimes it’s through a chance meeting at a festival or event, while others can happen just off the back of me liking their music and reaching out.
"For example, we wanted to create some hype in Los Angeles one evening so we got John Legend to come and perform at my show at The Greek Theater. He sang a version of Marvin Gaye’s ‘Sexual Healing’ and it went off. We stayed in touch after that and ultimately ended up making the song ‘Happy Birthday’ for the album together."
Kygo credits the artists he’s worked with for each teaching him how to make music.
He said: "It was an honour to work with so many artists from different genres. Whether it was working on a track with John, Foxes, Tom Odell or Labrinth, I learned something from each of them when it came to making music."
Kygo’s debut album ‘Cloud Nine’ is out now. He headlines Wireless Festival on July 10.
