Krept of Krept and Konan launching skincare for children

Krept of Krept and Konan fame is releasing a skincare range for children.

The 32-year-old rapper – whose real name is Casyo Johnson – has teamed up with co-parent, mumtrepreneur and influencer Sasha Ellese Gilbert to create the line named after their baby daughter, Nala, and inspired by her struggles with eczema.

Nala’s Baby came to be after the parents tried to come up with a solution to treat their little girl’s skin condition amid the pandemic, which is free from potentially harmful or toxic ingredients.

The Vegan and cruelty-free products – which are derived from 99 per cent natural ingredients – include Body Wash and Shampoo, Bubble Bath, Conditioner, Body Lotion, Nighttime Oil and Body Butter.

Co-Founder Sasha said: “Nala’s Baby has been a passion project since I fell pregnant with our daughter Nala. When shopping for skincare products I was shocked to see that so many baby brands hadn’t ever achieved a zero score on the ingredients rating platform, Think Dirty, meaning that they were potentially harmful to sensitive skin. I wanted our baby to have access to naturally derived, safe and effective products and sadly finding this on the high-street was impossible. I began creating creams and lotions for Nala at home and saw how effective they were. With the help of a trusted manufacturer and their expert chemists, and dermatologists and paediatricians we have created a skincare range that puts naturalness at its heart and caters for all skin types and ages. We’re so glad that soon Nala’s Baby can finally be shared with parents and their children across the UK and hope they love it as much as we do!”

As well as a successful career in music, Krept is also the owner of the restaurant Crepes and Cones and events company Play Dirty Party, with Nala’s Baby adding to his already impressive business portfolio.

Krept added: “Sasha and I are delighted to finally bring to market our zero rated baby product by Think Dirty, something that all parents can take advantage of for their own babies and children. This was crucial for us as we, like many other parents, struggled to find the right products to use from birth for Nala’s skin. We wanted the range to be available to as many people and for as many skin types as possible, while bringing the magic to bath and bedtime for all families across the UK.”

Prices start from £5.50, Nala’s Baby will be available in Boots stores from 20th June 2022, when it will also be available to purchase online at www.boots.com and www.nalasbaby.com. The Nala’s Baby website will also be the exclusive stockist of the Nala’s Baby Body Butter, priced at £6.50.
