Kirsty-Leigh Porter can’t wait for Hollyoaks love triangle ‘showdown’

Kirsty-Leigh Porter is excited for her ‘Hollyoaks’ love triangle "showdown".

The 31-year-old star – who plays Leela Lomax on the Channel 4 soap – has opened up on the potential fallout after her character’s romance with Jordan Price (Connor Calland) without realising he’s in a secret relationship with her daughter Peri (Ruby O’Donnell).

Speaking to Metro.co.uk, she teased: "Peri is so young and beautiful and has everything ahead of her, and then you’ve got Jordan who’s a little bit older, and then you’ve got Leela who’s a bit older than them both!

"When we first got told about this love triangle, the first thing we were all excited for was how it was going to come out!

"And we don’t actually know yet, we’ve not been told, I don’t think it’s been written yet, but I can only imagine how it would go down — it’s got to be a showdown!"

Kirsty-Leigh doesn’t know for sure how things will unfold after production was halted due to the coronavirus pandemic.

However, she’s very intrigued to see how it will blend into the County Lines storyline, and how the characters themselves will react to the revelations.

She added: "Leela would be so embarrassed — she’d be distraught, I imagine! And Peri also would be heartbroken.

"I mean, Leela had the three… almost four-way… with Louis and everyone, and that was an adult affair going on, but with this — breaking your own daughter’s heart, and then feeling stupid to fall for someone she actually doesn’t know.

"It’s not just the affair that’s going to come out, but it’s like everything that would come out. And then how it’s going to come out too — because obviously, it’s been linked into the County Lines."
