Kings of Leon will release their hotly-anticipated seventh LP on October 14.
The ‘Sex on Fire’ hitmakers have been teasing fans with video clips of their first record in three years and have now confirmed that it is called ‘WALLS’ and will be arriving next month.
The indie rock group – comprised of brothers Caleb, Jared and Nathan Followill and their cousin Matthew Followill – worked on the follow-up to 2013’s ‘Mechanical Bull’ with Coldplay and Florence + The Machine’s producer, Markus Dravs.
Frontman Caleb previously revealed the album will be full of "personal stories" including a song about his alcohol addiction and a haunted house stay experienced by his wife Lily Aldridge.
He recently said:"There are a lot of personal stories on this album… We’re still hungry and still young at heart."
The 34-year-old rocker explained how his supermodel spouse’s brush with the supernatural inspired a love song called ‘Find Me’.
He said: "She stayed in this hotel in Los Angeles. This is going to sound weird and a lot of people will roll their eyes, but she felt like it was haunted. When she tells the story, it’s the scariest thing. So I took that and turned it into a love story."
And ‘Over’ is a particularly personal song for the singer, having been written about a period when the group cancelled a tour in 2011 while he was treated for alcohol addiction.
He said: "That song is very personal, and to the people involved who know what that song’s about, it’s like ‘Holy s**t’. But if you look back on stuff that’s happened years ago, if it still means something you should write about it."
