Kim Kardashian West’s bodyguard could face questioning by police following her Paris robbery.
The 35-year-old was subject to a terrible ordeal in Paris, France, earlier this week when five armed, masked men stormed into her apartment, tied her up with plastic handcuffs and duct tape, and stole more than £9 million worth of jewellery.
Now, police are reportedly gearing up to question the bodyguard of the ‘Keeping Up with the Kardashians’ star, after it was revealed he had declared bankruptcy in July with a debt of almost £1 million.
Pascal Duvier, 43, jetted back to the US just hours after the robbery took place, after having been out at a club protecting Kim’s sisters Kourtney, 37, and Kendall, 20.
Police say Pascal is not a suspect over the theft, but would like to bring him in for questioning.
One officer told The Sun newspaper: "We will see where the investigation takes us."
And whilst the Kardashian family have stuck by their bodyguard since the raid, it is Kim’s husband Kanye West who will have the final say on whether or not he continues in his position.
A source told the publication: "Pascal isn’t irreplaceable. The family likes him but Kanye’s evaluating his family’s needs. He’ll decide."
It was previously suggested that the robbery was likely an inside job, and police are looking for suspects among those who knew of Kim’s schedule.
A source said: "She doesn’t know who she can trust. Kim’s team is conducting an internal investigation -interviewing assistants and looking through phones for evidence that anyone may have communicated with the thieves. They are slowly ruling people out."
The news comes at a time when the West family is looking to increase the size of their security team, with Kim expressing concerns about her two children – North, three, and Saint, 10 months – being "kidnapped".
Another source said: "The kids being kidnapped is Kim’s biggest fear. She previously didn’t want to shell out for armed security, but now she realises the family needs 24-hour protection."
