Kim Kardashian West "beefed up" security for her trip to Paris.
The 37-year-old reality star returned to the French city on Thursday (21.06.18) for the first time since she was robbed at gunpoint during an October 2016 visit and she felt "happy" to go back with her husband Kanye West for the Louis Vuitton Menswear spring/summer 2019 Paris Fashion Week show, especially as she took precautions to feel extra safe.
A source told E! News: "Kim was happy to go to Paris. has missed it and felt like it was the right time to go.
"She felt comfortable because she had Kanye by her side the entire time.
"She also had beefed up security because there were so many paparazzi. It was good for her to go back, but emotional at the same time. It’s been so long, but it’s a city she has always loved and she wants to be able to visit regularly again."
And the ‘Keeping Up With the Kardashians’ star – who was also accompanied on the trip by half-sister Kylie Jenner and her boyfriend Travis Scott – hoped to finally get "closure" by returning to Paris.
The source added: "The visit was special and important for Kim. She wants to move on completely from what happened and going back helped with closure."
Kim admitted her whirlwind trip to the city had been an "emotional" one on her Twitter account.
She posted: "Thank you Paris for the emotional trip back! I couldn’t have come for a better reason….off to Teyana’s listening party in LA now! 2 major experiences in 2 countries all in the same day! (sic)"
Kim – who has children North, four, Saint, two, and Chicago, four months, with Kanye – previously admitted she thinks she has become a "better person" since the robbery.
She explained: "It was supposed to happen to me. I was supposed to learn a lot from that. [Those] little signs along the way, you really do have to pay attention.
"And for me that made me a better person morally and just for the things that are important to me; how I’m going to raise my kids or just what I care to show.
"I’m really cautious of all of that now. I don’t really post in real time anymore. I just don’t like people knowing my every move."
