Kid Cudi cuts Coachella set short after appearing to twist ankle in stage fall

Kid Cudi’s Coachella set ended abruptly after he seemingly twisted his ankle onstage.

The 40-year-old star was having the time of his life entertaining the masses who filled out the Sahara tent at the California festival in Indio on Sunday (21.04.24) – when things took an unexpected turn for the worse.

Cudi, who was a last-minute addition to the bill, was performing ‘Memories’ when he tried to jump down from the stage, and it appeared he badly twisted his ankle, leaving him wincing.

In a clip shared online from the accident, two security staff swiftly helped the star to safety.

The artist didn’t address the crowd as he left whilst his track ‘Pursuit of Happiness’ played.

The tumble occurred towards the end of the set and his performance was going down a treat.

It was Cudi’s first time performing at Coachella since 2019.

The rapper-and-singer’s Coachella set came a week after he confirmed his engagement to Lola Abecassis Sartore.

The music star shared a sweet post days after the loved-up couple attended the ‘Knuckles’ premiere in London on April 15.

Alongside photos of them at the event, he wrote on Instagram: “My [fiancée] Lola and me at the Knuckles premiere.

“This amazing woman makes me so happy, she is everything to me and im so excited to share this news w u all.

“Life is wild, and right when I felt my future was uncertain, it became crystal clear with Lola. Happy Cud in full effect. (sic)”

Menswear designer Lola shared the news with her own followers as she posted a heartfelt message for the star – whose real name is Scott Ramon Seguro Mescudi.

She said: “I never thought I could love someone this much! So proud to call you my fiancé Scott.”

In her Instagram Story, she added: “The smiles on our faces says it all! Love you to the moon and back. Love u more my angel baby. (sic)”

In the past, Cudi – who has a 12-year-old daughter called Vada – has been romantically linked to Cassie Ventura, entertainment attorney Jamie Baratta, and costume designer Raquel Deriane.
