Kevin Simm has announced the release of his new album ‘Recover’.
As a former member of five-piece pop band Liberty X – who topped the charts in 2002 with their hit ‘Just A Little’ – Kevin had a second shot at pop success earlier this year when he won BBC talent show ‘The Voice’.
Now Kevin, 36, has announced his new LP ‘Recover’ and new single ‘Wildfire’.
Kevin took to Twitter to share his excitement, tweeting: "SO happy to reveal my new album Recover is out on Oct 28! Pre-order it now THANK YOU! (sic)"
‘Recover’ is a 10-track album that is described as a "concoction of woozy vocals and dazzling melodies, creating a finely-balanced ecosystem of singer/songwriter, folk and soul music with a constant focus on Kevin’s clear, emotionally-charged voice".
Since winning ‘The Voice’ earlier this year and reaching number two in the iTunes chart with his winner’s single ‘All You Good Friends’, Kevin has been in the studio working on his album with producer Matty Benbrook and songwriters Jim Duguid, who has worked with Paolo Nutini, Dido collaborator Pauline Taylor, Starsailor frontman James Walsh and Ed Drewett, acclaimed for his work with One Direction, Olly Murs and Craig David.
Among the tracks included on ‘Recover’ are the title ballad, gritty, blues rock-tinged ‘Trains’ and the folk-inspired, harmony-laden ‘Good News.’
‘Recover’ will be released on 28 October via Universal Music and is available to pre-order via iTunes.
