Kevin Kilbane booted off Dancing on Ice

Kevin Kilbane and Brianne Delcourt were booted from ‘Dancing on Ice’ during tonight’s (02.02.20) live show.
The former footballer and his skating partner lost in the skate-off with Ian ‘H’ Watkins and Matt Evers during Fairytales Week with all four judges voting them off, but the lovers admitted they had gained the ultimate prize – each other.
Kevin said: "I didn’t need to come on the show, it’s been an incredible run.
"We said if we make it to our birthdays we will be happy."
Asked if they will continue skating together, he replied: "Absolutely, Definitely. It’s fixed my posture in many ways.
Brianne added how it had been a "life-changing" experience meeting her partner on the show.
Judge Jordan Banjo had told Kevin after his performance – which earned the couple just 22.5 points – : "If you want to remain in the competition, you are going to have to really push yourself.
"You said you are pushing yourself to the limit, push yourself even further."
Ian and Matt – who performed as the swan and the prince in ‘Swan Lake’ – had earned 29 out of 40, their highest score of the series.
Elsewhere, ‘Coronation Street’ star Lisa George suffered a fall during her performance and struggled to hold back the tears.
The actress told co-hosts Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield: "I’m fine, honestly, I just really wanted to do a good job because I love this routine so much."
Phil reassured her: "Forget about it now, go and have a cup of tea or something stronger."
Lisa and her skating partner Tom Naylor still managed to score a respectable 27 points.
Meanwhile, magician Ben Hanlin received his highest score of the series, 30.
He admitted: "I didn’t expect that at all."
And despite illness, former ‘Love Island’ star Maura Higgins was "delighted" with her performance after barely any training.
Meanwhile, Paralympian Libby Clegg didn’t perform after contracting a virus.
And, Caprice’s exit from the competition was confirmed, amid the fallout from her split with ex-skating partner Hamish Gaman.
‘Dancing on Ice’ returns to ITV1 next Sunday (16.02.20).
