Kevin Dillon and DeRon Horton to star in Dirt

Kevin Dillon and DeRon Horton will star together in ‘Dirt’.
The 50-year-old actor, who is famous for his role as Johnny Drama on HBO’s ‘Entourage’, will play former racing car driver Rick Raddon who tries to save teenage car thief Dez Truss, to be played by 23-year-old Horton, from a life of crime.
The drama will be directed by Alex Ranarivelo who helmed ‘Born to Race’ and revolves around Dez, a 17-year-old rebellious kid caught in the act of boosting cars for an auto-theft ring, who is given one last chance to get back on the straight and narrow, when his mentor introduces him to Rick, who is now a race car team owner.
Rick agrees to look after Dez at his home over the summer and in return the teenager provides manual labour at his business and helps improve the performance of his dirt-racing team cars.
However, Rick is forced to question his decision to help Dez when the youngster’s car stealing past puts Rick’s family and livelihood at risk.
Starring alongside Dillon and Horton is Christina Moore (‘That 70’s Show’), Matthew Glave (‘The Wedding Singer’), Dominic Devore (‘Channeling’), Blake Heron (‘Shiloh’), Lexy Panterra and Devon Long.
Forrest Lucas has invested in the film and will produce it alongside his ESX Entertainment partner Ali Afshar.
Dillon is brother to ‘You, Me and Dupree’ actor Matt Dillon and shot to fame for his role as psychopathic soldier Bunny in the 1986 film ‘Platoon’.
Meanwhile, Horton appeared in comedy ‘Dirty Grandpa’ which was released in cinemas in January, and stars Zac Efron and Robert De Niro. His other film appearances include 2012’s ‘Consultation’ and ‘Paint The City’ which was released in 2013.
