Kensington Palace has shared a video of the Royal Family’s important "family moments" of 2017.
To celebrate the start of 2018, the royal household posted a touching video on Instagram earlier this week where they listed some of the family’s main achievements over the past 12 months, including four-year-old Prince George’s first day of school, and the recent engagement between 33-year-old Prince Harry and his partner Meghan Markle.
Short captions accompanied each of the pictures included on the slideshow, which read: "In Germany, Princess Charlotte received her first posey.
"Prince George started school.
"Prince George and Princess Charlotte took part in their aunt Pippa’s wedding.
"The whole family enjoyed Trooping the Colour from the Buckingham Palace balcony.
"The Duke and Prince Harry paid tribute to the life and work of their mother Diana, Princess of Wales on the twentieth anniversary of her death.
"The Sunken Garden at Kensington Palace was transformed into a White Garden in her memory.
"Their Royal Highnesses also released some new photos of their mother.
"The Duke of Cambridge completed his last shift as an air ambulance pilot.
"Prince Harry and Meghan Markle announced their engagement.
"The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge released their Christmas Card. (sic)"
Kensington Palace captioned the video: "For our final highlights video, let’s take a look back at some of the key family moments this year."
However, some fans have been left disappointed by the highlights reel, as one key part of 2017 has been missed from the list.
In September, Prince William and his wife Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge – who are parents to four-year-old Prince George and two-year-old Princess Charlotte – announced they were expecting their third child together, who is due to be born in April this year.
The pregnancy announcement didn’t make into the highlights reel, but the fond memories are no doubt being saved for 2018’s video, when the tot will have been welcomed into the world.
