Kendall Jenner "wasn’t affectionate" with Anwar Hadid when they were spotted together over the weekend.
The 22-year-old model and the 19-year-old younger brother of Kendall’s model pals Gigi and Bella Hadid were seen together twice over the weekend, sparking romance rumours, but sources have now said the pair weren’t particularly close and spent the whole time "with a group of friends".
An insider told People magazine: "Kendall seems great. She’s spending time with Anwar. She obviously likes him, but both nights they were with a group of friends. She wasn’t affectionate with Anwar."
Kendall and Anwar were spotted at the Malibu Chili Cook-Off on Friday (31.08.18), and again at Nobu on Sunday (02.09.18) night.
Previously, the ‘Keeping Up with the Kardashians’ star and the young model were seen kissing at the CFDA Awards after-party at the Socialista nightclub in New York City in June this year, before Kendall went on to date 22-year-old basketball star Ben Simmons, whom she split with last week.
After the event in June, a source revealed Anwar’s famous sisters wouldn’t mind him dating Kendall, as they believed it’s to be "expected".
The source said: "Gigi and Bella wouldn’t be bothered by it. Anwar is a total ladies man, so it does seem random that he and Kendall would hook up, but also expected."
Meanwhile, it was reported last week Kendall had "cooled things off" with Ben, because she was never looking for anything serious due to how busy her catwalk career is and she just wanted a relaxed summer "fling."
A source said: "She always wanted to keep her options open.
"She likes Ben but she knew it was more of a summer fling.
"They both have busy careers and it is what it is.
"Kendall isn’t looking for anything serious. She had fun with Ben, but wasn’t ever fully committed or looking for a long-term, exclusive relationship."
As for Anwar, he was last known to be dating 23-year-old actress Nicola Peltz, but they split earlier this year following over a year of romance.
