‘Love Island’ star Kem Cetinay has a "good chance" of joining ‘The Only Way is Essex’.
The hunky hairdresser is already friends with a number of cast members on the reality show and current ‘TOWIE’ star James Lock thinks producers will be keen to sign him up when he gets home from Majorca.
James told The Sun Online: "There’s a good chance Kem could join the show. He’s certainly not my best mate but I do know him and he does know a lot of the ‘TOWIE’ cast.
"He knows a few of the girls and has cut Pete Wicks and Dan Edgar’s hair before so if there’s definitely a possibility producers will see if there’s a storyline when he leaves ‘Love Island’."
And show insiders think it would "make sense" to bring Kem into the programme.
The source said: "Nothing has been decided with regards to Kem joining the show but it’s certainly a big possibility.
"Producers know that he is friends with a lot of the cast and there’s certainly the option to bring him onto the show if there’s a storyline to warrant it.
"He certainly seems to be a big hit with ‘Love Island’ viewers and there’s a big cross over between ‘Love Island’ and ‘TOWIE’ fans so it makes sense.
"Bosses have also seen how much of a ratings’ hit bringing Megan McKenna on to the show from ‘Ex On The Beach’ and ‘Celebrity Big Brother’ as proved."
However, while Kem has been a hit with ‘Love Island’ viewers, Lockie isn’t convinced he would find it so easy on ‘TOWIE’.
He said: "’TOWIE’ is scripted reality so it’s more like a soap. People join but not everyone can handle it."
And Kem could be in familiar company as it was previously claimed evicted ‘Love Island’ star Chloe Crowhurst is also wanted for a role on ‘TOWIE’.
A source said: "Chloe was extremely popular with ‘Love Island’ viewers and ‘TOWIE’ bosses know she’d be a huge hit with audiences on the show, so she is already in talks to join the cast."
