Kem Cetinay booted from Dancing On Ice

Kem Cetinay has narrowly missed out on a spot in the ‘Dancing On Ice’ final.
The 21-year-old ‘Love Island’ winner faced the dreaded skate-off during Sunday’s (04.03.18) live semi-final of the ITV ice skating competition, and found himself being sent home as the four judges – Jayne Torvill, Christopher Dean, Jason Gardiner, and Ashley Banjo – chose to send rugby star Max Evans through to next week’s final instead.
Speaking about his time on the show, Kem said: "It’s been amazing. When I first found out I was doing it I was so scared. It was my first type of show [like this], and would people like me? It was a weird environment to come into."
The hunky reality star also heaped praise on his professional skating partner Alex Murphy, whom he dubbed as "amazing".
He addd: "And she’s been amazing with me. And the journey has been so good, so I just want to thank ‘Dancing On Ice’ and ITV for giving me the chance to do it."
All four of the judges chose to save Max Evans and his professional partner Ale Izquierdo, as they felt his skate-off routine had more "content".
Chris said: "I’ve loved the journey that you two have taken from the beginning. You’ve given us so much and we’ve seen you both develop. But the couple I’m saving tonight, because of content, is Max and Ale."
Max will join Jake Quickenden and Brooke Vincent in next week’s final, who both managed to skate through after the public voted to keep them in the competition.
‘X Factor’ star Jake scored the first perfect 40 of the series this week when he took to the ice to perform a beautiful routine set to ‘Stay’ by Shakespears Sister, which was dedicated to his late father and late brother, who both died of bone cancer.
The ‘Dancing On Ice’ live final airs next Sunday (11.03.18) on ITV.
