Kem Cetinay and Chris Hughes have become the first ‘Love Island’ stars to land their own reality TV show.
The duo are poised to appear in a two-part series on ITV2 later this year, which will give fans of the reality dating show an opportunity to follow their lives outside the ‘Love Island’ villa.
A source said: "Kem and Chris will begin filming for their brand new show this week.
"The series will be all about their bromance and what happened from the point of them leaving the villa until now."
And although the broadcaster has only commissioned a two-part series for Kem and Chris, there is reportedly scope for that to be extended.
The insider told The Sun newspaper: "It has been commissioned as a two-part series at the moment – with the thought to develop it into a longer running show."
Kem and Chris’ so-called bromance was a major feature of the recent series of the programme.
And bosses at ITV have been considering ways to explore their friendship in more depth for some time.
A source said in July: "Bosses don’t want to see an end to their bromance and are already brainstorming possible TV show ideas to pitch for when Love Island is over.
"Fans won’t be seeing the end of them just yet."
Meanwhile, during their time together in the villa, Kem floated the idea of giving a special ‘Love Island’ bracelet to his close friend.
The hunky TV star – who won the series with girlfriend Amber Davies – said: "It’s so weird we’ve only known each other six, seven weeks but we sit here and we’re inseparable.
"We should really get a bracelet as well.
"I feel like Amber would be fuming if I got another one with you. Shall we get matching anklets?"
