Kelvin Fletcher sick from dancing

Kelvin Fletcher’s ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ rehearsals have been making him sick.
The former ‘Emmerdale’ star has been working hard with professional partner Oti Mabuse to hone their Viennese Waltz for the weekend but the frequent spins in their routine have been taking a toll and causing him to vomit.
Speaking on the show’s official podcast, Kelvin admitted: "I was sick for the first time on Monday. That has always been my biggest fear with anything ballroom. With the waltz, especially the Viennese Waltz , it looks so beautiful and effortless and flows.
"But the spins, they look so stunning but I fear them because the minute I start spinning my head goes and on Monday I was in the toilet and it wasn’t pretty."
Fellow contestant Mike Bushell has seemingly also had a similar problem as he suggested the 35-year-old actor try motion sickness tablets to get him through the sessions.
Kelvin added: "Travel sickness tablets. Mike mentioned that I should take them. I might have to give that a go."
The actor recently opened up about his gruelling rehearsal schedule.
He said: "I’ll try and get into my local gym [before rehearsals].
"I’ll get up at 5-5.30 in the morning. Normally I wouldn’t be training that early, I’d be in at 7am, but you do what you have to do."
"It was a conscious thing in the first two weeks of training not to do anything too draining at the gym or on the legs, it was pretty much maintenance work.
"Then I start dance training at 10am, which would be until 10pm. I’m on my feet all day. It’s quite tiring, so I’ve always been quite pro carbs – I think they’re a great thing."
Kelvin has upped his calorie intake to maintain his energy for rehearsals but revealed he has actually dropped around 11lbs thanks to his rigorous training.
He said: "I probably eat about 300-350g of carbs a day. About 160g of protein, about 60-80g of fat, which I think is about 2,500-3,000 calories. Carbs get a bad press, but they’re pretty important. I’ve stayed pretty lean, I’m about five kilos lighter than I was a couple of months ago. Which is fine, I think – it helps with the dancing."
