Kelvin Fletcher has become a father.
The former ‘Emmerdale’ hunk and his wife Liz Marsland have welcomed their baby daughter – their first child together – into the world but are yet to reveal details on the little one.
Kelvin took to his Twitter account on Monday (05.09.16) to announce the birth of his new bundle of joy and wrote: "Our hearts are filled with love. She’s the most beautiful little thing I’ve ever seen (sic)," followed by a heart-eyed emoji.
His wife Liz – whom he married late last year – also shared the news with her fans and accompanied a picture of a pink bouquet of flowers with the caption: "Everything pink for the little cherub #bestfeeling in the world! (sic)"
The couple – who announced they were expecting a baby two months ago -conceived on their wedding night last year but wanted to keep the sex of their baby a surprise.
The 32-year-old star said at the time: "It was the weekend of our wedding. We’re pretty sure Liz fell pregnant on our wedding night. We then flew to Rome for three nights. Little did we know, there were three of us on our honeymoon! The day I found out Liz was pregnant and our wedding day were the most amazing days of my life."
The couple have been together for over 10 years but wanted to wait until they were in their 30s to start a family because they wanted to enjoy their 20s together.
Meanwhile, Kelvin’s new addition couldn’t have come along at a better time as he has just turned his back on ‘Emmerdale’ after 20 years portraying Andy Sugden.
