Kelly Osbourne says her mum Sharon is "doing really well" after undergoing back surgery.
The 64-year-old television personality revealed last week on ‘The Talk’ – on which she is a regular co-host – that she would be undergoing surgery to repair a pinched nerve in her back.
During Wednesday’s (08.03.17) episode of the talk show, Sharon’s daughter Kelly, 32, gave an update on her mother’s health, and thanked her fans for supporting ‘The X Factor’ host during her recovery.
Speaking via a video link, Kelly said: "Mum’s in surgery she’s doing really well. Thanks everybody for their love and support. Thanks to the hospital because they’ve been doing such amazing work. Thank you. Thank you. And trust me, she’s gonna be fine."
The news of Sharon’s recovery comes after she told her co-hosts – which include Sara Gilbert, Julie Chen, Aisha Tyler, and Sheryl Underwood – last week that the pain in her back was becoming unbearable.
She said at the time: "I have a trapped nerve in my back and it’s killing me. I had to have — what is it when you have a baby? An epidural. There was no baby, but I had an epidural and I woke up to no baby, just a bad back … That’s why I wasn’t in last week. I wait another week and if it hasn’t fixed it then I have to have surgery."
At the time of writing, it is not known how long Sharon will need to recover for, or how long she will be away from ‘The Talk’ whilst she does so.
