Kelly Macdonald thinks The Victim will be James Harkness’ break out role

Kelly Macdonald thinks ‘The Victim’ will be co-star James Harkness’ breakout role.
The 43-year-old actress thinks the 30-year-old actor is one to watch and believes the new BBC drama will catapult him to stardom.
Kelly appeared on ‘The Zoe Ball Breakfast Show’ on BBC Radio 2, she said: "He [James] is amazing and I think he’s going to be someone to watch. I really do.
"He’s got the charisma and the looks and he’s hilarious as well. He’s really funny.
"There were very serious days filming, but yeah, really good people!"
In the show – which also stars John Hannah, Karla Crome, John Scougall, Isis Hainsworth and Andrew Rothney – Kelly portrays nurse Anna Dean who is haunted by the death of her nine-year-old son Liam who was tortured and murdered 15 years ago.
But the brunette beauty – who first shot to fame when she portrayed Diane in ‘Trainspotting’ in 1996 – doesn’t need to "work herself up" for emotional scenes anymore as she has been acting for so long.
She said: "’Trainspotting’ was a number of years ago so I’ve got a bit of experience now.
"I don’t wind myself up for big emotional scenes as I did maybe in my 20s and 30s.
"It’s all in there and I am able to trust that now."
The actress will also appear in new BBC and Netflix drama ‘Giri/Haji’, and once injured her arm when she was holding a gun during filming.
She said: "It means ‘Duty/Shame’ in Japanese. It’s a Japanese crime story that sort of drips into London and my character is London based.
"I worked with all these incredible Japanese actors it was really exciting.
"I had a very achy right arm one week-end because I spent the previous day holding a gun up the entire day and it really hurt!"
