Kelly Clarkson forced her husband to get a vasectomy after "horrible" pregnancy.
The 34-year-old musician and her beau Brandon Blackstock have two children together – two-year-old River, and Remington, five months – but it doesn’t look as though any more are on the cards as the star says she’s done with being pregnant.
She said: "I was literally pregnant with Remy, and I was like, ‘You are getting fixed. This will never happen to me again. If something happens, it’s a miracle of God. I literally told my OBGYN on the table while open, ‘If I get pregnant again, I will find you!’"
And the ‘Because of You’ hitmaker – who is also stepmother to Brandon’s two kids from a previous relationship – doesn’t understand what all the fuss is about when it comes to pregnancy, as she found the ordeal "horrible".
Speaking on US radio station SiriusXM, the ‘Piece By Piece’ singer said: "It’s horrible. Nothing is beautiful, nothing is magical. Whatever, you’re that person that gets that pregnancy, good for you. But I will remind my children every day of their lives what I [went through]."
It’s just the pregnancy that Kelly doesn’t like, however, as she’s previously branded motherhood as "inspiring" and it makes her feel "way more confident" and "empowered".
She said: "It sounds so cheesy, but I feel way more confident, way more empowered and way more like I’ve got this. You just have so much going on all the time, especially because I’m a working mom – so many moving parts and so much navigation – that I just feel like I can do anything. I feel like the head of the village."
"Being a mom is very inspiring. You don’t think it’s going to be because you’re so busy but it’s such a different world becoming a mother."
