Kelly Clarkson claims finding love as a celebrity is harder

Kelly Clarkson thinks it’s harder for celebrities to find love.
The 35-year-old singer-songwriter married talent manager Brandon Blackstock in 2013, but prior to meeting her future husband, Kelly endured a turbulent love life, which was complicated by her celebrity status.
She shared: "I was single for a very, long time and it’s hard when you’re in the limelight [and] you’re financially set and maybe they aren’t – it’s just a lot of intimidation.
"I’m a whole lot of person and I’ve dated people who are like, ‘You’re a lot,’ and that’s cool – I am a lot but [I thought,] ‘Somebody is going to love that some day and it’s not you, so that’s fine.’"
But Kelly – who has a three-year-old daughter, River Rose, and an 18-month-old son, Remington, with Brandon – is relieved that after years of searching, she was finally able to unearth a "real man" who isn’t intimidated by her success.
Speaking to ‘Entertainment Tonight’, Kelly quipped: "I found a cowboy, a real man that can handle this."
In spite of her happiness, Kelly admitted she recently forgot their four-year wedding anniversary, because she was focusing so much attention on the launch of her eighth studio album, ‘Meaning of Life’.
She confessed, too, that such moments of forgetfulness are not uncommon for the loved-up duo.
Kelly – who won the inaugural season of ‘American Idol’ in 2002 –
said: "We have forgotten two out of four of our anniversaries. But the great thing about us is we collectively do it. It’s not like one of us forgets and one of us remembers. We both epically fail.
"We’re always very busy. The only times we’ve remembered our anniversary is when we had [it] off. If we’re working, we forget what day it is."
