Kellie Maloney is dating a former soldier.
The 65-year-old former boxing promoter – who lived as Frank Maloney for more than 50 years – is dating Jason Shaw, an ex squaddie who has previously guarded Queen Elizabeth, and Kellie hinted they could be set to marry soon.
She posted pictures of her and Jason on Instagram, including one of him holding a ring, and wrote: "My new man in my life, sun wine and fun in the Algarve.
"Pink champagne is flowing and the diamond ring looks lovely am I ready to commit? (sic)"
The pair are said to be in a "serious" relationship and are "enjoying their time together".
A pal said: "Jason has undergone jungle warfare training in Belize and worked in the Queen’s Guard at Buckingham Palace, Windsor Castle and St James’s Palace.
"His stories have fascinated Kellie and they’re really enjoying their time together. Kellie and Jason are taking things slowly, but they’re taking their relationship seriously."
Kellie – who revealed in May she is now a "fully-fledged female" after undergoing her final operation to transition – and Jason are said to have grown closer while sharing their mutual appreciation of dogs with one another.
A source told the Daily Mirror newspaper: "They bonded over a shared love of dogs and stayed in touch.
"A few months back, Kellie called him to ask for some help tending to her four dogs after she hurt her leg.
"He flew to the Algarve and they hit it off even more this time around and after spending a few months in each other’s company, a few weeks ago they started dating."
Last year, Kellie opened up about her struggles to find love, admitting she was "having problems".
She said: "Dating is a sad topic for me. I’m having problems with love. I want to date, of course, but it’s hard. I’ve been on a few good dinner dates with men but when they realise who I am, they make up an excuse and leave or never contact me again.
"I think they’re scared of being judged or it’ my history in boxing – I don’t know."
