Katy Perry has become the most-followed person on Twitter.
The chart-topping singer has amassed more than 90 million followers on the social media site, and has more followers than the likes of Justin Bieber, Kim Kardashian West and her so-called rival Taylor Swift.
Confirmation of the achievement was announced by Twitter itself, which said: "It’s party time, @katyperry! With 90 million on the guest list, we’re gonna need a really big dance floor. (sic)"
Twitter also revealed the top six expressions used to refer to Katy by her fans. They were: [my] queen, beautiful, [the] best, better [than], amazing and [my] spirit animal.
The social media platform also revealed the pop star’s six most retweeted tweets, which included references to One Direction, Justin Bieber, Demi Lovato and an exchange with Niall Horan.
Meanwhile, Katy’s ex-boyfriend John Mayer recently revealed he is looking for love once more.
The singer – who has dated a string of famous women during his career, including Katy, Taylor, Jennifer Aniston, Jessica Simpson, Jennifer Love Hewitt and Minka Kelly – said he is now ready for a new relationship.
He said: "I’m ready to roll, I’m more mature than I’ve ever been.
"The stage is set but I’m excited for a meet cute at some point. I’m single and I’m excited about the future."
