Katie Price is among the stars competing on the forthcoming celebrity episodes of ‘The Crystal Maze’.
The 39-year-old former glamour model is on ex-England midfielder Dennis Wise’s team, along with Happy Mondays musician Bez, DJ Roman Kemp and ‘Made in Chelsea’ star Binky Felstead.
Next month, Maze Master Richard Ayoade will guide the famous faces as they tackle 30 brand new games in the hope of collecting all-important crystals.
The teams will then swap their crystals for time inside the iconic Crystal Dome.
One of the episodes is a ‘Derry Girls’ special, with cast members Jamie-Lee O’Donnell, Louisa Harland, Nicola Coughlan, Dylan Llewellyn from the sitcom captained by Saoirse Monica Jackson.
Paralympian David Weir, retired footballer Wayne Bridge, Countdown’s Rachel Riley and former ‘Geordie Shore’ star Charlotte Crosby will be led by former ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ contestant Judy Murray.
Whilst Dame Kelly Holmes will be in charge of grime star Big Narstie, former ‘Hollyoaks’ actress Jorgie Porter, YouTuber Alfie Deyes and long jumper Greg Rutherford.
Comedian Joe Wilkinson, Blue Peter’s Radzi Chinyanganya, broadcaster Kate Garraway and Pussycat Dolls star Ashley Roberts will be captained by TV legend Richard Madeley.
The original series ran from 1990 until 1995 and was previously fronted by ‘The Rocky Horror Show’ creator Richard O’Brien and punk rocker Ed Tudor-Pole.
At the height of its popularity, the series drew in up to six million viewers per episode, making it the most popular show on Channel 4 at the time.
The programme famously featured four zones, Aztec, Industrial – which was later replaced by Ocean – Futuristic and Medieval, where the contestants took part in a series of challenges and games in order to win crystals, each of which gave them five seconds in the final crystal dome.
In the finale, the teams had to grab 100 gold tokens which blew around the dome, but lost one for every silver they also had.
Just 18 out of the 83 teams who took part over the years managed to win.
‘The Crystal Maze’ celebrity specials begin in June on Channel 4.
