Katie Price was forced to quit ‘Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins’ after her breast reduction became inflamed.
The 41-year-old star became the first contestant to bow out of the current series in just the second episode last night (27.04.20) following a gruelling challenge.
The celebrities were woken up in the middle of the night and made to hold sandbags above their heads for 10 minutes, and they were then forced to carry them as a punishment because two of the stars were not dressed correctly in uniform.
Reflecting on her early exit, Katie said: "My breast reduction became inflamed. It was out of my control. I was gutted.
"I had to leave because of the pain I was in."
But Katie has admitted she departed the show with "new life goals".
She is quoted by The Sun newspaper’s Bizarre TV column as saying: "I’ll never take my creature comforts for granted again. I left with new life goals.
"I left the old Katie up there. She’s not coming back."
Afterwards on the show, Katie admitted she was annoyed with herself for giving in.
She said: "I am so p****ed off.’
"I didn’t have the strength to keep my arms up. It’s not an excuse, it’s just me how it feels for me.
"I will always f**king beat myself up, I’m so p****ed with myself.
"It’s a tough thing to do this course, it’s tough."
Following Katie’s exit, her fellow contestants Anthea Turner and Jack Maynard also quit the show early.
Katie recently admitted she feels she let herself down on ‘Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins’.
She said: "I think a lot of people would know that mentally I am strong, just by my past and what I have been through…
"But it it was just physically my body wasn’t ready for a lot of the things I was put forward to, because that’s just due to my stupidity of going smaller surgically.
"But apart from that I am a strong person anyway. When you get an interrogator going at you, even thought you know it is fake, although it is a show, it is not supposed to feel like a show. It feels like reality."
