Katie Price is "desperate" for another baby.
The 38-year-old former glamour model already has five children Harvey, 14, Junior, 11, Princess, nine, Jett, three, and Bunny, two, from three different relationships, but is determined to keep popping them out until doctors tell her she can’t have anymore.
A source told Closer magazine: "Katie’s desperate to have a baby. It was heartbreaking for her to have to deny the recent rumours when all she wants is to be pregnant again."
The TV star has also started the formal process to adopt a newborn baby and she is looking to held a tot from overseas.
She said recently: "I’ve always said I want to adopt a child, I’ve got five of my own and I’m still going to continue to have my own. I just think it’s the right time for me now to adopt a child, I want to adopt from abroad as well … I would like a newborn, because I’ve got my kids. If I had an adopted child, that was say five, and that child had problems – behavioural problems not disabilities – then I don’t want it to affect my other kids."
Katie is also adamant she wouldn’t have an issue giving a home to a child with special needs because she’s used to caring for Harvey, who has various challenging medical conditions.
She explained: "I just love to mother and nurture and that’s why I want a newborn, to see them grow up. I’m not bothered about it being a boy or a girl and if there was something wrong I would keep it, I wouldn’t care."
Katie – who was previously wed to Peter Andre, the father of Junior and Princess – insists her husband Kieran Hayler, with whom she has Jett and Bunny, supports her wish but doesn’t understand why she wants to adopt while she can still carry more babies herself.
She said: "Kieran doesn’t understand, he’s like, ‘Why would you adopt when you can still have your own?’ But I’ve always wanted to adopt, I’ve got 11 bedrooms and they need to be filled and I don’t mean that jokingly, I’m very hands-on with my kids."
Since she went public with her adoption plans, an orphanage in Bulgaria has already contacted her to ask her to take a child.
