Katie Price and Kieran Hayler weren’t "allowed" to have sex when he was having therapy.
The 38-year-old TV star’s marriage to the 29-year-old hunk ran into trouble in April 2014 after she discovered he had cheated on her with her friend, and she admits she had no idea of his infidelity because they had "never had a problem" in the bedroom, and the only time they stopped being intimate was when the former stripper subsequently sought help for sex addiction.
Katie said: "We have never had a problem [with intimacy] at any point during our relationship. That’s why it was always so hard to understand.
"If he wasn’t getting it, you could think that was a reason… but it wasn’t. How could it be? We were only together a few months. He wasn’t allowed [sex] for ages, because of the therapy."
Katie – who has children Jett, two, and Bunny, 23 months, with Kieran, as well as Harvey, 14, Junior, 11, and Princess, nine, from past relationships – insists she doesn’t dwell on her spouse’s infidelity as things between them are better than ever so it is better they simply move on.
She told Fabulous magazine: "I prefer the Kieran of today to the old Kieran. The old Kieran is dead.
"We both see it like that. He says I saved him because I caught him. I do trust Kieran because I think that if he’s going to do something, he knows what he will lose, whereas before I don’t think he realised.
"Things are really good and I don’t think of the past any more. What’s the point? You can’t move on if you keep bringing up the past. You either deal with it or keep going round in circles. Get over it and move on…
"Kieran is a completely different person. It shows that people can change if they want to. He’s living proof of that. He’s turned from a boy to a man and is the backbone of the family. He’s caring and we have a laugh.
"We need each other, which is good, and it wouldn’t work unless we were together. "
Meanwhile, after having her breast implants removed last year, Katie is now sporting a more enhanced look again after admitting she found going back to a B-cup "emotionally tough".
She said: "I’ve gone through a lot with my boobs.
"Imagine if you had boobs and then suddenly you had none. Emotionally, it’s a tough thing and [getting implants back in] was my way of dealing with it."
