Katie McGlynn has flown to Hollywood in search of a new TV role.
The 26-year-old actress – who previously starred as Sinead Tinker in ‘Coronation Street’ – is busily auditioning for new roles, having left the ITV soap in 2019.
Katie said: "It’s going to be an exciting year. I’ve already had so many wonderful auditions."
Katie has recently auditioned for a Netflix show – but she also remains philosophical about her career.
She told the Daily Star Sunday newspaper: "One was for a big Netflix show, which would be an amazing opportunity. But I can’t say too much more.
"I’m also going to LA. I’ve never been before, but I can do a really good American accent. And if doesn’t work out, then it doesn’t work out."
Meanwhile, Katie recently admitted she "felt a bit lost" as Sinead Osbourne on ‘Coronation Street’.
The actress arrived on the cobbles in 2013 – after starring as Scout in ‘Waterloo Road’ – but Katie admitted her ‘Corrie’ character didn’t initially live up to her own expectations.
She shared: "I’d just turned 24 and was on this big show, but I wasn’t doing much.
"I felt a bit lost. I’d come from a lot of drama at my previous job on ‘Waterloo Road’, where I was getting big, challenging storylines left, right and centre. I went to ‘Corrie’ and I pinched myself that I was there, but the character took a while to develop to make her the quirky girl she became."
