Katie Jarvis opens up on nightclub attack

Katie Jarvis is feeling "fine" after claiming she was "glassed" on a night out last week.
The ‘EastEnders’ actress – who joined the cast of the BBC soap last year as Hayley Slater – has taken to social media to update fans on her condition after people started to ask about her welfare following the alleged incident.
She tweeted: "OK to put people’s minds, and questions to rest. I am absolutely fine thank you so much for all your concern and checking in on me but I’m a solider and been through hell of alot worse. (sic)"
Katie’s comments come after she posted – and later deleted – tweets about the alleged attack on Friday night (08.03.19) in east London, and at the time she thanked medical staff for taking care of her.
She wrote at the time: "Big thank you to the Met police tonight and ambulance service for looking after me after I was glassed by a drunken Irish man for f*** all."
Although she later deleted her posts about the incident, the 27-year-old actress thanked her fans for their kind words and added she was "good as gold".
Katie – who also explained she didn’t want "feelings of worry going to waste" with everything going on "in the real world" – has since told her followers how grateful she is for their support, and said the fans keep her "humble and grounded".
She said: "People will never understand how much their support means to me either. It’s you all that keep me appreciative humble and grounded."
Meanwhile, her character Hayley hasn’t been seen on screen later after viewers saw her convinced to seek treatment for her issues with self-harm and drinking.
She later fled the centre, leaving her baby Cheery in their care without telling anyone when she’d be back.
