Katie Jarvis has left ‘EastEnders’.
The 27-year-old actress hasn’t been seen on screen as her character Hayley Slater for nearly two months, and she looks unlikely to return to Albert Square in the near future.
Katie’s last scene aired on February 8th, and an ‘EastEnders’ source has told Digital Spy that there are no current plans for her to return to Walford.
This comes just weeks after Katie took to Twitter to allege she had been "glassed" for no reason.
Katie – who now appears to have deleted her Twitter account – wrote at the time: "Big thank you to the Met police tonight and ambulance service for looking after me after I was glassed by a drunken Irish man for f*** all (sic)"
And she later clarified she was "absolutely fine".
She wrote: "OK to put people’s minds, and questions to rest. I am absolutely fine thank you so much for all your concern and checking in on me but I’m a solider and been through hell of alot worse. (sic)"
Katie was involved in a big storyline over the Christmas period when Hayley pushed Alfie Moon (Shane Richie) down the stairs, leaving her and the rest of the Slater clan fearing he was dead, but he made a miraculous recovery.
Before leaving Walford, Hayley left her and Alfie’s baby, Cherry, in the care of the Slater clan.
In December, Katie was left feeling "humbled" after she won the Best Soap Talent accolade in Nothing But’s TV Awards.
She tweeted: "To say I’m extremely humbled by this award is an understatement.
Thank you so much to every one who took the time to vote for me. It really does mean so much and I hope i can continue to make all my supporters proud (sic)"
