Katherine Kelly turned down roles for kids

Katherine Kelly has turned down acting roles because she couldn’t cope with them on top of being a mother.
The 37-year-old actress has had to say no to a few jobs because they weren’t suitable hours or too far away from home, which meant she couldn’t be around to look after her three-year-old daughter Orla and three-month-old baby girl, whose name is not yet known, whom she has with husband Ryan Clark.
Asked what work she has coming up on ‘This Morning’ on Monday (30.01.17), she said: "I am still not 100 per cent sure it is the right job. A few jobs came along but I just couldn’t make them work. They were a bit too early or a bit too far away.
"It’s just a case of … there is something we might be able to work with, but I’ve just got to ask a few people if they can help out."
The former ‘Coronation Street’ star admits that it was only possible to shoot her role as physics teacher Miss Quill in ‘Doctor Who’ spin-off ‘Class’ because she had the support of her "helpful" family and husband.
She explained: "I try you can only do it if you have really helpful and loving people around you. I’ve got a great husband, and I am not just saying that, and family that all help out. Instead of getting a script and thinking I really want to do this job I have to think how is this going to work? How are we going to make this work.
"If I didn’t have the backup I just wouldn’t be able to do it."
The blonde beauty admits that having two children is "chaos".
She confessed: "One is a pet and two is a zoo right? It is chaos. I was up six times last night, but four times with the two and a half year old."
