Kate Upton’s fiancé wanted to created a "one-of-a-kind" engagement ring that resembled their "exceptional" love.
The 23-year-old beauty’s baseball player beau Justin Verlander – who she has been dating for over three years – popped the question over four weeks ago but spent many months leading up to the engagement designing the diamond sparkler with the talented designer Anita Ko.
Speaking to E! News, the jeweller said: "Justin and I collaborated on creating the most perfect one-of-a-kind ring that is rare and of exceptional quality … just like their love."
The blonde beauty announced her exciting news at the Met Gala in New York on Monday (02.05.16) when she walked the red carpet with the eye-catching bling attached to her finger.
She said: "He asked me right before the [baseball] season started, so we’ve been keeping it on the down low for quite a while, so I’m excited to finally be able to share it with the world."
And, although the couple have taken the next step in their relationship, Kate isn’t in any rush to walk down the aisle.
She explained: "We are enjoying the engagement [for now]."
Meanwhile, the loved-up pair may live the majority of their lives in the spotlight but Justin, 33, recently claimed he and his beautiful other half have a very "normal" life.
And the pair supported one another after they were victims of the infamous hacking scandal in 2014, which saw a number of celebrities have the contents of their iCloud accounts leaked online.
He said of the scandal, which was dubbed ‘The Fappening’: "Obviously it was tough. I still don’t talk about what happened.
"I grinded through it … Kate’s there a lot for me. And we’re just normal people. You know, normal relationship – believe it or not."
