Kate Humble to present new animal-based quiz show

Kate Humble is set to front a new game show about animals.
The 48-year-old television presenter specialises in fronting wildlife and science programmes such as BBC nature documentary series ‘Countryfile’, but it now seems the blonde beauty is set to step out of the wilderness and into a studio as she will reportedly be hosting a new quiz show set to test celebrities’ knowledge of the animal kingdom.
The BBC Two series, entitled ‘Curious Creatures’, will reportedly see two panels of celebrities put their knowledge to the test in a format that is set to emulate the popular sporting quiz show ‘A Question of Sport’.
A TV insider told The Sun newspaper: "Everyone loves panel shows and as a nation of animal lovers, BBC producers think this new series will be a real hit.
"’Countryfile’ has always been one of the channel’s most-viewed programmes. Producers are hoping that with Kate Humble on board as host of Curious Creatures, she will be able to replicate that success. As well as targeting ‘Countryfile’ viewers, they’re also hoping this new commission will help to make young people more engaged with nature and wildlife.
"It’s going to feature games and celebrity guests each week as the experts are tested on their knowledge of wildlife. It’s sure to be a great laugh as well as enlightening and informative."
It is believed that Kate will be joined on the show by Chris Packham – with whom she currently co-presents ‘Springwatch’ – and ‘Talk to the Animals’ presenter Lucy Cooke, who will act as each panel’s team captains.
‘Curious Creatures’ is set to start filming next month in front of a studio audience at the BBC studios in Scotland.
