Kate Hudson’s family talk about everything.
The 37-year-old actress admits there are downsides to the honest and open attitude she shares with siblings Oliver Hudson, Wyatt Russell and Boston Russell, mother Goldie Hawn and stepfather Kurt Russell because she sometimes finds out things she doesn’t necessarily want to know.
She said: "Unfortunately or fortunately, our family is very open.
"There’s some things that we don’t necessarily want to know about each other, but everything is out on the table in our family."
But the ‘Mother’s Day’ actress knows she can always confide in her famous mother if she doesn’t want her problems shared any further.
Speaking on TV show ‘Today’, she said: "My mom is my great confidante.
"I pretty much do tell my mom everything. It’s vice versa."
Kate spent her childhood watching her parents at work and has found it equally enjoyable having her sons Ryder, 12, and four-year-old Bingham – who she has with ex-husband Chris Robinson and former fiance Matt Bellamy respectively – visit her on set.
She said: "Ryder right now is at the age where I’m watching him love being on a movie set.
"It’s not fun unless you really love the world of make-believe and you are a storyteller in your head.
"I’m watching Ryder now fall in love with what it means to be on a set."
