Kate Garraway has signed up for ‘I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!’.
The ‘Good Morning Britain’ presenter is set to finally enter the Australian jungle for the ITV reality TV show, one year after she reportedly entered into talks with show bosses but pulled out before filming began.
According to The Sun newspaper, Kate, 52, has booked time off work in order to appear in the show this year after her hectic schedule last year led to her turning down a reported £150,000 offer.
Kate previously revealed her children Darcey, 13, and William, 10, have been urging her to take part in the show.
She said: "I think it’s completely terrifying but it’s also a brilliant show to watch, so I don’t know.
"My kids would love me to do it, I don’t know what that says.
"People keep saying I’d be good in there and basically what that means is you want to see me tortured.
"Like really close friends say, ‘Oh you’d be amazing, I really want you to do it.’ And it’s like, ‘What have I done to you?’
"Does anybody want to go through that torture, I don’t know?"
Meanwhile, Ally McCoist recently revealed his family aren’t talking to him after he rejected ‘I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!’
The retired footballer admitted he and his loved ones are huge fans of the ITV reality show and so his wife and sons – Alexander, Argyll, Mitchell, Arran and Harris – are disappointed he turned down the chance to head to the jungle.
He said: "I’m not doing the jungle and there is nobody talking to me. My wife is not giving a monkey’s about me eating spiders and earwigs, she is just wanting a two stretch in that Versace hotel.
"The kids aren’t talking to me at all. The older ones aren’t even talking to me. The younger ones would love it and the older ones would love it as well.
"They are going to school and they are getting it off their pals. It’s the biggest thing we watch as a family, it’s brilliant entertainment."
