Kate Garraway has left ‘I’m A Celebrity … Get Me Out Of Here’.
The ‘Good Morning Britain’ presenter narrowly missed out on a place in the final of the ITV show, as she became the ninth campmate to leave the jungle.
Speaking to hosts Ant and Dec after her exit, she said: "It was amazing. Because every time you were completely terrified of facing your fears. Straight afterwards, there was just that euphoria that you’ve done it. Everyone was so pleased you’ve done it; there was just so much love in camp."
And Kate decided to go on the show this year, after turning it down previously, as she felt it had to be "now or never".
She added: "I kind of felt it was now or never. The kids were just at the right age where they could just about cope without. But I never thought it was going to be this hard though. You don’t really realise how hard it is."
The 52-year-old television presenter got quite tearful at the trials and admitted it was because she feared letting her fellow campmates down.
She explained: "I think it’s a fear of letting people down, thinking, I can’t do this. I’m going to have go back and tell them and let them down. It was terrifying, snakes are my biggest fear. To put your head into a box of 20 pythons and not know what you’re going to see. Mainly, the tears at the end, were relief. It was that pure relief that I’d done it and that I can go back and tell them I’ve done it."
Kate’s departure leaves Jacqueline Jossa, Roman Kemp and Andy Whyment to go head to head to be crowned King or Queen of the Jungle.
‘I’m A Celebrity … Get Me Out Of Here’ returns on Sunday (08.12.19).
