Kate Garraway says ‘Breakfast at Garraway’s’ will "hopefully emerge at some point".
The 52-year-old television presenter was due to start filming her new weekly entertainment show with fellow ‘I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here!’ campmate Myles Stephenson in April, but it was postponed after her husband Derek Draper was put into an induced coma after contracting the coronavirus in March.
Now, Kate – whose husband is still "desperately" ill in hospital despite being out of his coma and Covid-free – is hopeful the ITV show will resume production in the future as she begins her return to work since taking time off to be with her family.
Speaking to Myles on ‘Good Morning Britain’ on Monday (13.07.20), Kate said: "Last time I saw you we were all excited about doing ‘Breakfast at Garraway’s’ which hopefully will emerge at some point."
She added: "And then you went off and had a really bad ski accident and were really unwell for a long time."
Back in February, the 28-year-old singer was involved in a skiing incident in Andorra back when he suffered a ruptured spleen and cracked ribs, putting him in intensive care and had to lock himself in his bedroom as he was at risk of catching the virus.
However, the Raksu hitmaker has been getting back in shape since his injuries, and has been accompanying his pals on workouts during lockdown.
Myles explained: "It was weird but I’m doing good now. I went on a run with one of my mates stupidly. I shouldn’t have done it because he’s really fit.
"But we ran, he took me on a 5k run and I done it in about 28 minutes which is my first 5k of 2020. I’m getting there, I can do 14 press ups now."
