Kate Bosworth joins the cast of Finding Steve McQueen

Kate Bosworth has joined the cast of ‘Finding Steve McQueen’.
The 33-year-old actress will join a star-studded line-up alongside Warcraft’s’ Travis Fimmel, ‘Independence Day: Resurgence’ star William Fichtner and ‘Southpaw’ actor Forest Whitaker for the crime movie, which is based on the biggest bank heist in US history.
Mark Steven Johnson, who worked on ‘Ghost Rider’ and ‘Daredevil’, is directing the project alongside John Finn, Rhys Coiro and Louis Lombardi who have joined the team in supporting roles.
Speaking about the castings, producer Andrea Iervolino said: "Aligning a cast of this calibre with a fearless director like Mark has us all excited to see this story come to life. This is an explosive, character-driven film, smartly told in a way that will keep audiences guessing throughout. We’re eager to bring this amazing group together and start shooting in just a few weeks."
Keith Sharon and Ken Hixon have written the screenplay.
The film is based on the true story of a bank job that took place in 1972 which saw a gang of thieves from Youngstown, Ohio, attempt to steal $30 million in illegal contributions and blackmail money from President Richard Nixon’s secret fund .
Producers Anthony Mastromauro of Identity Films, Silvo Muraglia of Paradox Studios, Andrea Iervolino and Monika Bacardi of Ambi Group and Alexander Klim are all working together to bring the film to the big screen, while Mikael Wiren will executive produce.
Shooting is expected to start in September in Atlanta, with the movie being featured at the Toronto Film Festival.
