Karen Clifton not giving up on marriage

Karen Clifton has not given up on her marriage.
Although the dancer and her fellow ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ star husband Kevin Clifton recently revealed their split, Karen insists that there is still a possibility they will reconcile in the future.
She told the Daily Mail’s Weekend magazine: "It’s important to be open to all possibilities. I haven’t given up on it. I saw my parents break up and I didn’t like it.
"I think the best thing for now is to behave like adults and take a break.
"He can go his way, take care of what needs to be taken care of, and I’ll do the same."
"You never know what’ll happen; maybe even in a couple of years… It’s just that right now this is what we need."
And the former couple recently claimed they "haven’t really talked about" getting divorced, despite their split.
The ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ professionals claim they have been too "focused" on their own forthcoming dance tour to discuss the finer details about officially calling time on their marriage, and Karen is still quite happy to wear her ring.
When asked why she was wearing her sparkler during a recent appearance on ‘This Morning’, Karen said: "We’re not divorced yet."
Kevin said: "We haven’t really talked about that to be honest, so I don’t know.
"We’re just fully focusing on the tour, really."
Despite their break up, the 35-year-old dance specialist has admitted the pair are in "a really good place" and are "really happy".
She added: "We’ve been dancing together for seven years and that bond we created as friends first of all and professional dancers has been very strong, so to let go of all of that just because our private life hasn’t worked out the way we wanted to would’ve been quite hard.
"It’s really important to stay positive because mentally and physically it’s a very tough thing to do, but I think we’re both in a really good place and are both really happy."
Despite their break up, the dancing pros are to embark on their own ‘Kevin and Karen Dance Live Tour’ in May, and insisted they never considered axing their dates because of their split.
Karen said: "That never really crossed our minds.
"It shows other people you can go through things and you can continue working with someone you love very much and you respect and you admire.
"Life does go on for us professionally."
