Karen Clifton insists she and husband Kevin Clifton "are happy" amid claims their marriage was in trouble.
The ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ professionals have been bombarded with split rumours in recent months, especially after Karen spent the festive period with family in the US, but the 35-year-old beauty says they are stronger than ever and focused on their brand new stage show.
Speaking to the Sunday Mirror newspaper about their new tour, she said: "Kevin and I start our own tour in May which we are really looking forward to.
"We are really excited and we are creating right now and just talking through everything."
And on the hearsay surrounding their relationship, she added: "We are in an amazing family show on ‘Strictly’ and at the end of the day we love what we do. People are going to be interested but at the end of the day we are happy."
Karen previously admitted that the ballroom and latin show had taken its toll on their marriage.
She said: "Everything is fine. It adds a little bit of spark to the relationship and it just means that we care about each other. We just need to keep pushing and relationships take work, it’s not as easy as you think, especially being in a job like ‘Strictly’."
However, the star believes all couples have their fair share of "ups and downs", and you just have to "make it work".
She continued: "We’re just a regular couple, we’ve been together for seven years and like any other relationship you have your ups and downs and nothing is ever perfect so you make it work."
