Kara Tointon "couldn’t be happier" after giving birth to her first child.
The former ‘EastEnders’ star was reported to have welcomed her baby into the world last Thursday (22.11.18) and now her fiance Marius Jensen has confirmed their happy news – and even the couple’s dogs are thrilled with the new addition to their household.
Marius told HELLO! Online: "On Thursday at 11.04am, 3.2 kilos of happiness joined our lives.
"Kara and I couldn’t be happier and our four legged companions Elfie and Winston have been guarding our new family member since."
Though Marius didn’t give many details about the baby, it was previously reported the couple had welcomed a boy into the world.
A source said: "Kara gave birth on Thursday to a little baby boy."
Kara – who is best known for playing Dawn Swann in the BBC One soap – only announced she was pregnant in October 2018, just a few weeks before she was due to give birth, and admitted it had been the "biggest life-changing" moment she’d experienced.
Revealing she was having a baby in the pages of HELLO! magazine, the 35-year-old actress said: "It is an incredible time. It is the biggest life-changing moment when you have this little human being coming into your life that you are yet to meet. I can’t wait for motherhood and all the challenges it will bring. For me it was always about meeting the person that you know is the one you want to share this experience with. Marius and I said, ‘If it happens, we are ready, but we won’t plan,’ and then it happened quite quickly. For me, this is the perfect age."
Kara and Marius got engaged after the hunk popped the question whilst she was in bed at home back in March, a week before they went on holiday to India where he had originally intended to propose.
