Kanye West praises Lewis Hamilton’s ‘really good’ music

Kanye West thinks Lewis Hamilton’s music is "really good".

The Formula One driver has been teasing the launch of his music career for several months, and now 37-year-old rapper Kanye has confessed he’s a huge fan of the tracks he has been working on.

Speaking at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, Kanye said: "It’s so weird, so Lewis Hamilton’s over at my house, right? And he starts playing music.

"We’re having an Easter brunch and all of the family’s there, my wife’s family, my friends, everything. And he’s playing music, and everybody’s like: ‘What is this music?!’ and I’m like ‘It’s Lewis Hamilton’s music.’ They’re like: ‘Oh my god, I thought it was gonna sound like…’ and I’m not gonna say the names of who they thought it was gonna sound like, but it’s good. It’s really, really good."

Although the 30-year-old Mercedes driver has not yet unveiled any of his songs to the public, he recently admitted he has been playing them to other influential artists to gain advice.

He said: "I have played it for Pharrell Williams as well as Timbaland and Drake because I want feedback from as many people as possible."

However, the current Formula One World Champion previously confessed he only got into making music because he created a home studio for his then-girlfriend, ‘Poison’ hitmaker Nicole Scherzinger, from whom he split in February after seven years of dating.

He said: "I actually built the studio in my house for someone else and ended up using it.

"I built it so we could be in the same place all the time … but now I use it all the time instead."
