Kanye West is sad his tour has ended

Kanye West is sad his tour has ended.

The ‘Black Skinhead’ rapper, who finished the north American leg of his ‘Yeezus’ tour this month, thought it was a success but says he didn’t want to stop performing.

In an interview on ‘Late Night With Seth Meyers’, he said: "I thought it went really good. It’s kinda sad when it’s over ’cause you put so much into it and so many people are really excited to see it. It’s fun to be able to express something that you created."

Talking about the diamond-encrusted mask he wore on stage, he said: "The mask is great. It’s freeing. A place where you can express yourself to your audience, to everyone, without being judged having to live up to whatever your name is supposed to represent.

"Just to feel like a new artist again. That’s the reason I perform most of the show in a mask."

The 36-year-old star, who is known for ranting in interviews and has compared himself to Apple co-founder Steve Jobs, also brushed off criticism but thinks he has a long way to go before people understand him.

He said: "2013, all the controversy, blah blah blah blah…I’m in the process of breaking down walls that people will understand 10 years from now, 20 years from now."
